As a parent who has attended more pictures days over the years than I wish and having more pictures on our refrigerator than I should, was not planning on making another purchase for our daughter playing softball. Ken, Just started to look at the girls softball pictures you took this month and they are so precious. Both of our parents will also be placing an order and just wanted to pass on their 'THANK YOU' to you. I noticed you mention on your website that the photographs are great for grandparents and make them feel as if they were at the game, well that is exactly right! My mom called and said it was if she was at the game...thank you Ken.

Damn fine work Ken! In speaking with someone else at the recent event, I understand you never shot power weight lifting before-do not feel bad, as I do not think I have ever seen a display like yours at the Evansville competition.  Your skills across a wide range of sports is very impressive, and your shots from the competition were also very good, but the pictures of the sportscar racing were a hit with me.  You guessed it, I am a fan of the American Le Mans Series and put one and one together, as I have seen your work before.  Thanks again for all you did (and are going to do in November-right?) and do not be too hard on yourself, your pictures were great!  Now-how do I place my order though for pictures from the races???

Ken, Our order arrived and am thrilled with the photography! You are right, the printed pictures look so much better than on the website.  I also appreciated how you followed up on my question and then got back with me a second time to make sure all was taken care of...nice touch.  My only complaint, and know it was something that could not be prevented, was the time it took for the photos to arrive. I realize there was an upgrade to the ordering process, and perhaps in the future, you might want to send out an email to those whose orders might be delayed.  But I can not say enough how we are thrilled with the pictures and what you do for Evansville, thank you again and see you during football and soccer season.

Ken-I about fell out of my chair when I heard your commercial on the ESPN station...Going big time I see and well done.  You clearly are a professional businessman and realize how to market your efforts/company.  I feel sorry for those who are your competition...is there really any?

Ken, Your pictures of the girls T-Ball team are so precious! I am so thankful your daughter was playing T-Ball as well, and you agreed to take pictures of our 'Lil Star' too. I didn't know these types of pictures were being offered until you spoke with me.  It was also very professional of you to explain how you do not cover the softball league, but if requested will photograph the girls during a game.  Our daughter is going to play soccer this year and saw where you are also provide game photos for the league, you can count on me this Fall!

Just placed my order and look forward to receiving the pictures (just two) Ken.  I would have ordered more, but you were only at one game and didn't stay for the entire game.  Just a thought, you may need to clone yourself or hire other photographers.

Ken-You need to get to other areas of Evansville more...  Was at our recent tournament and disappointed to see you did not make it out to the game.  I realize I put my request in late for you to come out and I know you said you would try to make it, but you never showed up. Please try to make it to our next tournament game, as I told every parent to write you as well!  You can blame me later for that.

Ken, As a parent (and one who has purchased from you a lot!) just wanted to send you a letter of appreciation for all you do, and I am NOT talking about your photography.  I am not sure you fully realize how refreshing it is to see you talk with the kids and the way you make them feel like stars. During the last game, you made a point to talk to one of the boys after a play in the field and although we in the stands could not hear what you told him, the grin on his face was from ear to ear! You have a gift with younger kids and just wanted to say thank you.

Let's see...I saw you at Vann Road last week shooting a girls softball game and  then watched you walk over to the boys side for baseball.  I now read where you were shooting a weight lifting tournament on Saturday. Will you be covering the boat race on the Ohio as well?  If so, I will purchase some pictures as I am a huge fan of hydro racing.  Do you photograph the ponies racing to?

Ken, Was a pleasure talking with you during a break of one of the games. As a coach, I can appreciate your knowledge of the game and how you transfer this to your photography.  I have been to many games where the photographer just sits in front of the dugout and never moves.  You are constantly moving to be ahead of the play and the shot you have of the double play being broken up is a prime example, you anticipated the play (and ran around the backstop to the other side) and got the shot.  Nice Job.

My gawd Ken, you are everywhere!  I saw you at girls softball fields and boys baseball games the other night.  You truly have a love for what you are doing and it shows not only in your work, but how you interact with the parents and coaches.  Many of us in the stands were commenting how it seems every coach walks up and talks and jokes around with you, but even more touching is how the boys kid around with you.

Ken, Had to write you and let you know how neat your display was this past weekend.  The amount of pictures you have on display from all the sports you shoot is really impressive.  You might want to consider leaving a price sheet or detailed brochures at the tables though.  A couple of parents mentioned they had a few questions, but you were always working the games.  Nothing major, as I told one of the dads you had a FAQ page on the website. 

 I have purchased pictures from you over the last year -football and soccer- and was great to see you also shooting at the baseball fields.  Your skill with the camera is second to none Ken, but what separates you as well, is your attitude with the younger kids. Wow! Never knew of this type of sports photography and your display this weekend was impressive. The Fat Head on display was a hit with our team and having pictures from the previous days games-framed and matted-to show your work was a great idea. Had to inform you, was disappointed to see that you were not at a recent tournament.  I knew I should have requested you to attend, but thought you would be there.  Although a photographer was there, clearly is not in the same league as you, both with his attitude (came across as if I was a bother) and his work.  Please-Get out of the East side more often as there are other areas of the Tri-State!

As a coach, I enjoy looking at your photos and found myself critiquing the players skills and where our coaching has paid off or where more instruction is needed.  You have a picture of a player attempting to bunt, that is priceless-better than any instruction we can give on proper bat position.  Nice job Ken.

Ken-Just took a look at the pictures from the Lacrosse tournament held in Evansville.  Besides the horrible weather of rain and sleet, wanted to write and thank the Evansville Lacrosse League for the games.  Wanted to especially thank you for being there all day in the weather.  Many of us were saying we could not believe you stood out there in the cold and pouring rain all day and kept taking pictures...I just started to look at all the pictures and they are great! You are going to make it difficult for me to decide how to purchase just a few!  Thank you again and also thank you for patting my son on the head after the game, he thought that was 'darn cool'.

Please continue to take a lot of pictures of fans, coaches, and other stuff,  I am a scrap book mom nut and love how you also take pictures of the entire story of a game...makes my hobby really fun.  Thanks for what you do.

Ken-Wanted to drop you an email and say thanks again for taking time to talk with me between games. I was fascinated with your knowledge of sports photography and how you position yourself to capture the action.  Although I had my own digital camera, you taking time to give me some hints on how to take 'killer shots' that no parent can normally get, was great. I told a few parents back in the stands about our conversation and they were shocked you would share what they called trade secrets.  When I told them you took your lens off your camera and let me use it on my camera, blew them away!

Dear Mr May-The photos from the recent tournament arrived yesterday and I can not get over the quality of your work.  We had a dinner party last night and your poster was the talk of the evening!  One of our guests is a professional studio photographer and for him to compliment your work was such a thrill. (Expect a call from him by the way.) We purchase standard team photography every year for each of our boys, but no more starting this year.  Thank you again and wonderful work.

Ken, got the pictures this week and wanted to say thank you.  We have decided to only purchase action pictures in 2008 vs the posed team shots-they go in the drawer anyway.  I much rather have photography of our daughter in action on the court .  The colors of the prints are amazing, nothing I ever shoot comes out like that and I have a Canon Rebel!

It is easy to navigate and to place orders and my only compliant is that you need to show more of your poster creations (portfolio area?).  Realize this website is to drive sales from your pictures taken at events, but show your stuff and beef up the portfolio area.  Looks good.

Ken, Do not change a thing.  I haven't purchased anything from the football season yet as we are waiting for our poster requests. You work is great and I browse your website everyday. Your ability to capture our sons catch was great and I screamed when I saw the picture in the gallery.  As we discussed, want you to take some studio shots this Winter.

Ken, yes your pictures are great, yes you love what you do, yes parents love you...blah blah blah....but unless you do a better job getting the pictures on line right after the game (hours), you are losing money! Seriously Ken, have you considered selling pictures at the games?  I have been to many tournaments, just was at one in Indy, where you give a deposit, and then you can order pictures and have them printed.  The deposit goes to the total cost.  Just a thought as not trying to be rude, but your work IS great, but your ordering process is just ok.

Hey Ken, Nice web site! Missed you at Petit Le Mans, but it looks like shooting sports in Evansville is keeping you busy. Parents, I have known Ken for several years and you are lucky to have him provide this service, if he is anywhere near as enthusiastic about shooting youth sports as he is at the races, you will never be disappointed.

I spoke to Ken about shooting a league for team shots and he was not able to make it work in his schedule. It was our fault for not preparing for the photos, so what did he do?  Recommended another photographer vs. rushing the job for just the money.  Very classy.

Go ahead and post my name if you want from this email, but I just found out about you from a friend of ours and see where you were in Mt Vernon this Summer for baseball games.  Why didn't you inform the league or place flyers out? Going to request you for basketball.

I have used Ken for photography in three different sports our daughter plays in and will never look elsewhere. My only criticism, and Ken it is minor, is allowing others to request photography while you are shooting a game.  If I was a parent, and although I am not but know of one where this happened, who took the time to request you to come to the game to photograph their child, I would be upset if I saw more pictures of other players. Your work is great Ken and feel it will become more difficult for you to photograph the amount of leagues you already do.

I know you can only be at one place at a time, but several of us noticed how you covered both the football games and soccer games at once. Can not wait to see the soccer pictures, as they are not posted yet.

I purchased a picture book from Ken from our son's season.  What I received is NOTHING what I expected.  The book could be placed on the shelf at Borders Books and no one would know the difference between a hardback book sold there or the one that was custom made of my son.  The book is a masterpiece and the dust jacket is simply the neatest thing....You will give some scrap booking moms a reason to pick up another hobby Ken.

Just ordered the Fat Head type picture and can not wait to see it. Where were you a few years ago when our daughter was in sports?

Ken, during the game this weekend, I commented to my friend about you.  We were watching you during the game and carrying around all the cameras and that huge lens.  We both thought it was wild how you constantly moving around and shooting low to the ground.  Well, I now see why as your shots are spectacular! I just ordered 17 of them...

I noticed Ken has done work for motorsports in the past and asked to see some of his work from the cars that race at Le Mans.  Bought three pictures that are hanging in my office and are the talk of many.  Hopefully you will shoot some races in the area next year.

You guys do fantastic work, but do not spread yourself to thin.  I know of a few parents who would have liked to see more photographs of their kids, but you were covering another league-outside of Newburgh.

Ken's images are the best in the business. The grandparents feel as if they were at the game.

We purchased a sports montage of our son and placed it on the fireplace mantle. Everyone who comes to our house asks about the picture.  I think Ken should pay me a commission for all the work I have sent his way.  Seriously though, he loves what he does and it comes through with every photo.

I needed a photo from a recent race for a marketing campaign, not only did Ken deliver the work ahead of schedule, his poster was the talk of campaign!

We needed a group picture for a reunion and forgot to get a photographer.  A friend mentioned Ken May and we called hoping for the best.  The pictures were better than any other photographer we have used in the past.

After the snow storm last year I called Ken to take a picture of our house and to create a pencil artwork for the family album.  Stunning!

Ken's ability to capture the intensity of a youth game is amazing.  Our kids watch the music DVD he created all the time.

I purchased a custom montage from Ken and didn't really like the one picture he used of my son.  I thought his hair looked messy.  What did Ken do? At no extra charge, he spent time with my son after a game to get the right look I wanted...He also gave me the one montage I wanted to replace at no charge and told me to cherish the messy hair look, as one day the son will be off to college.  I wanted to pay for both right then, but Ken would not accept. He has a customer for life with our family.

I bought a picture from Ken and the package arrived damaged.  Ken came over to the house and picked up the damaged frame and a new one arrived in two days.

Our daughter is painfully shy and does not like to have her picture taken, somehow Ken's humor made her smile and we will always use him now.

Ken approached me asking to try his services.  When I explained we were happy with our current photographer, he did not press the issue, but instead gave me his card and said if we ever needed to consider another to give him a call.  I did and he can add us to his growing list of customers for life.
